Proved effective and exceptional

Pihuamo, Jalisco, MEXICO -- November 4, 2005. In recent weeks one of most successful integrators on the west coast of Mexico informed us of several problems in connectivity during its mining explorations.

The mining company Las Encinas processes subterranean minerals for the production of derivative materials. The company generally establishes control operation center at distances of aproximately 13kms (6.5 miles) from its mining center and uses them to communicate using VoIP and manage high performance risk software programs. According to the supervising engineer Mr. Baños the company selected Blizzard radio link after several unsuccessful attempts to integrate low cost solutions in such rugged conditions.

The Company withdrew the use of higher end radios due to cost-benefit analysis. Mr. Baños informed us that unusual weather conditions in the west coast of Mexico subjected the radios to repeated lightning damage, corrosion and link failure, resulting in costly exchanges in radios. "The Blizzard provided a robust solution that integrated lightning protection and aluminium enclosure with weather proofing materials that protect the radios during extreme weather conditions. We understood that Vositech produced a radio that would provide connectivity but we never realized that the connectivity would be robust and provide reliable solution under our conditions -- that was impressive." Mr. Baños.

The location of the radios proved effective and exceptional when the Company installed a link with a distance of 13kms and with a limited 6 meters Fresnel Zone, line of sight limitations caused by mountains and existing terrain. "Other manufacturers promised connectivity using 'legacy' Lucent radios using Agere chipsets and 1 Watt amplifiers. After costly experimentation our administrators doubted wireless technology and asked me to seek other, more reliable, less costly solutions. Unfortunately, satellite nor wired applications fir our applications, being cost-prohibitive and also limited" said Mr. Baños.

"During the installation between the plant and the station we experienced attenuation problems, which we began to doubt Vositech's solution. Inmediately we contacted Vositech Technical support, they were able to identify the problem quickly and asked us to apply a solution that resolved the problem" Thereafter we began to see ping response times of 1-2ms inour pt-pt solutions with 36 mbps on LIMITED FRESNEL ZONE! These radios really work." Commented Mr. Baños.
